The Mayan legends have already transformed Mexico into a magic country. The old Mayan temples are, still to this day, both equally enchanting and mythical. A particularly special moment for me was visiting the Tulum Ruins under the starlit sky. Only once away from the streams of tourists could I really get a sense of the real magic and spirituality of this place. However, even Mexico’s nature presents itself as a magical spectacle. In Spring, thousands of monarch butterflies don’t wait to play the mating game in the forests of Michoacán. At the same time, flamboyances of flamingos settle on the Mayan Yucatán Peninsula to hibernate. There are so many mesmerising places to discover when travelling through Mexico.
